Clay Animation Sounds. Sounds are just as important to a clay project as the images are. Sounds like images can help create emotions, feelings and moods for an animated work. Sound in an animated project needs to be as high quality as possible, hums, clicks, and buzzes will lower the quality of the project. Viewers might not mind if the image quality is low, but as soon as a projects sound is bad people notice right away and this can distract the viewer from the animated work. The animated character below is listening to music and dancing. By not hearing any sound this is still apparent because of the scene having the correct prop and the movement of the character. By adding sounds to the scene such as music and noise affects it then becomes obvious to the viewer that the character is truly listening to the music and dancing to it. The music and sound properly completes the scene. The same scene without the sounds can be more distracting to the viewer since they are expecting sound with the images they are seeing. Try adding sounds to the animated character by using the mixer to see how they can affects how the scene can appear to change. http://www.clayanimator.com
